AppTap Partners with Future to Bring Mobile App Recommendations and App Advertising to Leading Tech and Entertainment Properties

AppTap (http://www.apptap.com), the leading mobile app discovery and app advertising network for iPhone, iPad and Android apps, today announced a partnership with Future PLC (http://www.futureplc.com/) an international media group and leading digital publisher. The partnership brings AppTap’s contextual app recommendations and advertising platform to readers on Future’s top media properties, including TechRadar, ComputerAndVideoGames.com (CVG), T3, PC Gamer, Total Film, and more.

Consumers live in a world in which mobile apps are the primary way they access information, products and services central to their lives. Yet, with over a million apps available across Android and iOS, finding apps that meet an individual’s interests is difficult and overwhelming.  App developers, too, are struggling to find the right users for their apps. AppTap solves the discovery problem for consumers and app developers, bringing app discovery to consumers where they already spend time online, and using context to target users with app recommendations relevant to their interests in a dynamic, real time environment.

“Apps are central to all aspects of our lives, yet the app store and search paradigm for app discovery is not enough to help consumers and app developers navigate this increasingly crowded space,” said Matt Callaway, CEO, AppTap. “Our partnership with Future is another step in our mission to bring app discovery to users everywhere, and to use context and other critical data to deliver the right app, to the right user, at the right time.”

AppTap’s platform enables publishers, such as Future, to improve their mobile product experience, grow engagement and increase mobile revenue by adding contextual app recommendations, social discovery and app search to their properties. This benefits consumers as they can now easily discover apps relevant to their interests right on their favorite sites, and it helps app developers by targeting promotion of their apps to consumers that are likely to be highly engaged app users.

“As our mobile audience continues to grow, we’re very focused on ensuring we’re delivering the product experience our users want and optimizing our revenue opportunity,” said Nick King, Digital Commercial Director, Future plc. “AppTap’s combination of app discovery and app advertising in a single platform strikes the perfect balance of enhancing our product experience while also generating revenue.”

AppTap is showcasing its mobile app discovery and advertising platform at APPNATION December 11-12, 2012 in San Francisco. Visit AppTap at Booth B2, Moscone West, or attend their presentation at the APPNATION Developer Bootcamp on December 12 at 10:30 am.
