Florida's Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort Offers a Free New Year's Eve Night*

The Countdown to Fun Has Officially Begun at the "Best" Resort in Destin

DESTIN, FL, Dec. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ - Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort today announced the countdown to a spectacular New Year's Eve celebration at what many consider one of North America's top spots for New Year's Eve and Christmas break.

Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort is offering a FREE New Year's Eve night with the purchase of two nights, and a variety of great deals on accommodations to suit every size of group and budget. Families and couples can take advantage of time off from work and school between Christmas and New Year's Day with fun activities and complimentary amenities from the Beach to the Bay. In addition, Sandestin provides a way to celebrate the New Year in style with the convenience of being only an elevator ride away from home or a complimentary tram ride away.

It Takes A Village to Have Blast this New Year's Eve
The Village of Baytowne Wharf's end-of-year party is just one of the fun activities offered for New Year's Eve. Dance the night away and enjoy live bands and breathtaking fireworks as they light up the sky over the lagoon at midnight. Live music begins at 7 p.m. with The Amazing Hat Band playing Motown favorites. Then at 9:30 p.m. the BonJourneys will take the stage and help ring in the New Year.

Midnight and the first minutes of 2013 will be marked by the biggest fireworks display of the year that has made the Village famous. Watch in wonder as the Village makes this 2013 celebration sparkle with festive fanfare.

At the Marina Bar and Grill, just steps away at the Baytowne Marina, Sandestin will offer an added great spot to celebrate. The DJ hits the stage at 8 p.m. The Marina will be offering great cocktail specials all night and guests can enjoy their New Year's Eve bar menu as they take in the breathtaking views of the bay.

Sandestin also offers holiday fun activities for all ages. From the Village of Baytowne Wharf's outdoor ice skating rink, a festive light show set to music during the 12 Nights of Lights, the Baytowne Holiday Lantern Parade, and much more, this is the season at Sandestin you won't want to miss.

Added Convenience and Amenities
What makes Sandestin even more special for guests is the added convenience and safety of not driving.  People can stay just steps away from the action or take a convenient tram home for the evening.   Accommodations range from hotel style studio suites to three bedroom villas with rates starting at only $119 per night.  A stay at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort also includes value added amenities including complimentary tennis court time, fitness center access, bike rental and other amenities.

Public Parking and Shuttle Service Available for Holiday Visitors
For people who want to come to the resort only for New Year's festivities, Sandestin is offering five public parking lots within the gates of the resort and shuttle service to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for only $5 per vehicle, on a first come first serve basis.  Shuttle service will run from 6-11:30 p.m. to the Village. Starting at 12:15 p.m. shuttle service will resume, delivering guests back to their units and vehicles until 2 a.m. Guests are encouraged to plan their return schedule accordingly.

The resort also brings the latest technology and features a convenient APP for iPhone and Android users, providing guests with special discounts, information and conveniences.

Contextual Analytics of various threat data provides a deeper understanding of a given threat and enables identification of unknown threat vectors. In his session at @ThingsExpo, David Dufour, Head of Security Architecture, IoT, Webroot, Inc., discussed how through the use of Big Data analytics and deep data correlation across different threat types, it is possible to gain a better understanding of where, how and to what level of danger a malicious actor poses to an organization, and to determ...
The hierarchical architecture that distributes "compute" within the network specially at the edge can enable new services by harnessing emerging technologies. But Edge-Compute comes at increased cost that needs to be managed and potentially augmented by creative architecture solutions as there will always a catching-up with the capacity demands. Processing power in smartphones has enhanced YoY and there is increasingly spare compute capacity that can be potentially pooled. Uber has successfully ...
The deluge of IoT sensor data collected from connected devices and the powerful AI required to make that data actionable are giving rise to a hybrid ecosystem in which cloud, on-prem and edge processes become interweaved. Attendees will learn how emerging composable infrastructure solutions deliver the adaptive architecture needed to manage this new data reality. We are seeing a major migration of enterprises applications to the cloud. As cloud and business use of real time applications accelerate, legacy networks are no longer able to architecturally support cloud adoption and deliver the performance and security required by highly distributed enterprises. Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...

Poor data quality and analytics drive down business value. In fact, Gartner estimated that the average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year.
