Better Size S.W.A.G. for Children's Clothing with Pint Size from Crazed Kitty Software

Pint Size's growth predictions make choosing the right size for children's clothes simpler and easier

REDLANDS, Calif., Jan. 11, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Crazed Kitty Software's newest iOS app, Pint Size, enables consumers to buy clothes with the knowledge of when and how long their child may fit a particular size, allowing the consumer to take advantage of today's end-of-season sales on clothes in the size their child is most likely to need at the start of the next season. Pint Size harnesses the science of pediatric growth curves to identify current and future children's clothing sizes for 44 major U.S. clothing brands. Pint Size provides better size S.W.A.G.

Pint Size translates the current height and weight of a child into a growth curve that can predict future height and weight values up to age 20 using Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and World Health Organization (WHO) data and formulas. These predictions are turned into sizes for any of the 44 clothing brands Pint Size currently includes, enabling a more consistent and reliable clothes fit for the child. These predications create the opportunity take advantage of the significant savings that retailers give when clothing seasons come to an end. Growth measurements can be entered in U.S., U.K., or Metric units, enabling consumers worldwide to use Pint Size when traveling to the U.S. to determine the correct U.S. size for their children. Buying children's clothes is often a shared activity so Pint Size supports sharing this information via email, text, or Facebook. And parents enjoy telling the story of their children growing up, so Pint Size has included a photo album with a slide show to display all those photos capturing the child's growth history.

In this initial release Pint Size supports multiple families, giving grandparents, aunts, and uncles, and extended family to keep track of the children in their lives. This enables gift buying without the need to call for current sizes, or locating another child who is or soon will be ready for the clothes your child is retiring. And sharing this information is easy; a child's sizes in a favorite brand can be distributed via email, text, or Facebook. International travelers coming to the USA can use Pint Size to locate U.S. clothing sizes, giving them a greater confidence that their clothing purchase will fit when they return home. The initial clothing brand database will be expanded not only with more regional and local brands, but also internationally in the coming months, with automatic updates delivered to the app when they become available. Pint Size will improve the process of anticipating children's growth and responding to the changing clothing demands that results.
