FotoFinder lança o handyscope®: dermatoscópio móvel para o iPhone 5

A FotoFinder, fabricante de soluções médicas de imagem, anuncia o lançamento do seu dermatoscópio, o handyscope® para o iPhone 5. O handyscope® será iniciado nos Estados Unidos no encontro anual da Academia Americana de Dermatologia em Miami, do dia 1-5 de março de 2013. Esse novo modelo do handyscope® permite que os médicos possam examinar melhor uma marca na pele através de um sistema de TwinLight e várias outras funções.

O novo handyscope® para o iPhone 5 apresenta um design esbelto e um modo único de TwinLight que combina os benefícios da dermoscopia de polarização cruzada e imersão de fluído. Um botão de toque rápido permite a troca entre os dois modos e a tela de LED indica a opção de luz escolhida.

O novo modelo permite que os médicos possam tirar fotos com ou sem o contato do vidro com a pele. Duas peças dianteiras – uma com uma placa de vidro de contato e outra sem – permitem que os médicos vejam lesões elevadas e condições vasculares sem compressão.

O handyscope® tem ajudado médicos a detectar câncer de pele desde 2010. O novo handyscope® ainda é usado com o aplicativo handyscope® protegido por senha. Com somente um toque os médicos podem congelar, guardar e avaliar uma imagem na tela, organizar e gerenciar imagens, etiquetar imagens com dados e comentários sobre os pacientes e selecionar a localização usando o diagrama virtual do paciente no aplicativo. Uma nova função exclusiva do handyscope® para o iPhone 5 é ranhura especial na maleta que permite que os médicos possam conectar o telefone ao monitor para que os pacientes possam seguir o exame, e também carrega o telefone com o handyscope® fixo.

As fotos podem ser carregadas do aplicativo para um web site privado e seguro na central da FotoFinder, uma plataforma tipo nuvem na internet. Quando as imagens forem carregadas, os médicos podem solicitar uma segunda opinião de especialistas internacionais de câncer de pele sobre marcas suspeitas, e eles avaliarão a foto em poucas horas.
