College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center Serves a Menu of American Favorites and VIP Seating for Fireworks

HYATTSVILLE, MD -- (Marketwired) -- 06/19/14 -- The best seat for fireworks in College Park, Maryland, comes with a buffet of mouthwatering family barbecue favorites served by The Common restaurant and pub at College Park Marriott Hotel & Conference Center.

Located in the hotel near the University of Maryland's campus, The Common is ideally situated for a spectacular view of the university's annual fireworks extravaganza. A reserved area to spread your blanket outside on the neatly manicured lawn and complimentary parking are part of The Common's Independence Day Buffet package served from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014.

The family friendly buffet at this College Park dining hot spot features an array of American summer favorites created to please even the pickiest palate. Enjoy barbecued short ribs, country fried chicken, cheeseburger sliders, grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, and macaroni and cheese served with traditional slaw with celery dressing, fingerling potato salad with mustard dressing and garden salad. Save room for tempting desserts, including apple pie, key lime pie, watermelon, fresh berries, cookies and brownies. Soft drinks are included. The Common keeps the celebration going after the fireworks with bar specials from 9 to 11 p.m.

The Independence Day Buffet is $16.95 for adults, $8.50 for children ages 4 to 12, and complimentary for children age 3 and younger. Tax and gratuity are extra. If fireworks are rescheduled due to inclement weather, guests can show their receipt from the restaurant in College Park, MD from July 4 for access to the VIP seating area.
