Zoho Connect Now Extends Collaboration Beyond Corporate Walls, Offers New Pricing Plan

Zoho today announced a range of new features and a new, two-tiered pricing plan for Zoho Connect, its social workplace that centralizes people and information. New features include external networks, chat rooms, events, active directory integration, network analytics and customization.

Zoho is demonstrating the new features of Zoho Connect at the Zoholics: Productivity & Collaboration event being held August 25-26, 2014, in Pleasanton, Calif.

“The first version of Zoho Connect was designed as a private social network to collaborate with people within an organization. With the introduction of external networks, we are extending the collaboration capabilities of Zoho Connect beyond the company. Businesses now can effectively collaborate with partners, vendors, customers and external stakeholders through external networks,” said Raju Vegesna, Zoho evangelist. “As we pack Zoho Connect with several useful features, we are also enhancing the free edition and simplifying the pricing of our paid edition.”

The new external networks in Zoho Connect encourage seamless interaction between employees and teams with partners, vendors and external stakeholders. By involving external stakeholders, you can get better insights and speed up business decisions. Additional new features of Zoho Connect include:

  • Active Directory Integration – Log in to Zoho Connect with existing organization credentials through Active Directory. This provides significant advantages to end users by increasing convenience and efficiency while improving access and boosting user adoption.
  • Chat Rooms – Makes team communication more focused and actionable, with real-time group discussions.
  • Events – Lets users stay up to date by creating events, sending invites and tracking RSVPs. Users can also take advantage of a built-in integration with Eventbrite that allows them to create a social network for event attendees to collaborate before, during and after the event.
  • Network Analytics – Enables the network administrator to measure the overall health of the network and provides insight into how users engage, using leaderboards and activity charts.
  • Customization – Customize the Zoho Connect network to match the company brand with headers and footers.

Zoho Connect now comes with an enhanced free plan and a flat $49/network/month priced enterprise plan with unlimited users. Private groups are now included in the free plan. The enterprise plan includes unlimited groups, apps and chat rooms; 100 GB of shared storage; multiple admins; moderation; custom domain; header and footer customization capabilities and Active Directory sync.
