PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Chaikin Analytics LLC, a provider of proven stock research and analytics to asset managers and self-directed investors, today announced the release of Chaikin Analytics version 1.3, which incorporates a new time-saving Alerts View and an on-demand Chaikin Portfolio Health Check, updated weekly on any stock portfolio.

Immediately upon logging-in to Chaikin Analytics, subscribers are presented with the new, built-in Alerts View, which puts timely information at subscriber's fingertips every morning before the market opens. The Alerts View displays the day's most relevant, actionable information for stocks on a user's watchlist, including Chaikin Buy/Sell Signals, Chaikin Power Gauge Alerts, Earnings Surprises and Estimate Revision Alerts. These Signals and Alerts help the investor decide which stocks to buy or sell that day.

Also included in v1.3 is an on-demand Portfolio Health Check, updated weekly on ANY list in the subscriber's workstation. Previously, Portfolio Health Check was only available for the user's MyStocks List. With Chaikin Analytics, the user can create multiple lists, including one for each client's stock portfolio, or for groups of stocks being followed, and create a Portfolio Health Check on any of these lists, or on any of the pre-loaded lists, such as the DOW30, NASDAQ100, S&P500, Dividend Champs, among others.

Portfolio Health Check is Chaikin's proprietary analysis of the strengths and risks in any stock portfolio. Generated instantly, it's the only analysis that shows where a portfolio is headed 3-6 months out. Updated weekly, Portfolio Health Check presents in easy-to-read displays:

  • What's ahead for the stocks and industry groups in each portfolio/list;
  • An at-a-glance display of each list's strongest stocks in the strongest industry groups, and the weakest stocks in the weakest industry groups;
  • Specific ideas for swapping out weak stocks and industry groups for strong;
  • Each week's earnings surprises, estimate revisions, gainers and losers, news sentiment and more.

The core of Chaikin Analytics is the Chaikin Power Gauge, a proven alpha model that combines twenty technical and fundamental factors, analyzed and distilled into a simple Bullish or Bearish rating. The Power Gauge was independently back-tested on ten years of data and proven effective. Since inception, the Power Gauge has continued to successfully identify both strong and weak stocks, consistently out-performing the S&P 500.

Developed by long-time analyst and Wall Street veteran Marc Chaikin and the same team that created one of the most successful real-time analytics workstations for professional money managers and traders, Chaikin Analytics combines the Power Gauge with the Chaikin Trend and Relative Strength Indicators and Chaikin's time-tested Indicators, Money Flow and Bands, to deliver a superior decision support tool users can overlay on their own methodology or use to generate new ideas.

Chaikin Analytics also features 6 pairs of Buy/Sell Signals, which help investors identify low-risk exit and entry points for stocks. In-depth stock research reports, updated daily, are available from any of 5,000 stocks.

"In combination, all these features are designed to facilitate a reliable buy/sell decision on any of the 5,000 stocks we cover quickly and efficiently," said Marc Chaikin, CEO and Founder of Chaikin Analytics. "We've combined powerful decision-making tools with ease of use and mobility of access, meeting the demand of traditional portfolio managers, hedge fund managers, investment advisors, full-service brokers, RIAs and self-directed investors. Now, investors can see at a glance the most important Alerts they need to make a buy/sell decision," Chaikin added.

Chaikin Analytics is currently available on the iPad and iPad Mini; a desktop browser version will be released in September. Version 1.3 is the latest addition to a suite of established stock research tools developed by Marc Chaikin for use on desktops, iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and Android devices. At CloudEXPO Silicon Valley, June 24-26, 2019, Digital Transformation (DX) is a major focus with expanded DevOpsSUMMIT and FinTechEXPO programs within the DXWorldEXPO agenda. Successful transformation requires a laser focus on being data-driven and on using all the tools available that enable transformation if they plan to survive over the long term. A total of 88% of Fortune 500 companies from a generation ago are now out of business. Only 12% still survive. Similar percentages are found throug...
Where many organizations get into trouble, however, is that they try to have a broad and deep knowledge in each of these areas. This is a huge blow to an organization's productivity. By automating or outsourcing some of these pieces, such as databases, infrastructure, and networks, your team can instead focus on development, testing, and deployment. Further, organizations that focus their attention on these areas can eventually move to a test-driven development structure that condenses several l...
The term "digital transformation" (DX) is being used by everyone for just about any company initiative that involves technology, the web, ecommerce, software, or even customer experience. While the term has certainly turned into a buzzword with a lot of hype, the transition to a more connected, digital world is real and comes with real challenges. In his opening keynote, Four Essentials To Become DX Hero Status Now, Jonathan Hoppe, Co-Founder and CTO of Total Uptime Technologies, shared that ...
Over the course of two days, in addition to insightful conversations and presentations delving into the industry's current pressing challenges, there was considerable buzz about digital transformation and how it is enabling global enterprises to accelerate business growth. Blockchain has been a term that people hear but don't quite understand. The most common myths about blockchain include the assumption that it is private, or that there is only one blockchain, and the idea that blockchain is...
Never mind that we might not know what the future holds for cryptocurrencies and how much values will fluctuate or even how the process of mining a coin could cost as much as the value of the coin itself - cryptocurrency mining is a hot industry and shows no signs of slowing down. However, energy consumption to mine cryptocurrency is one of the biggest issues facing this industry. Burning huge amounts of electricity isn't incidental to cryptocurrency, it's basically embedded in the core of "mini...
Every organization is facing their own Digital Transformation as they attempt to stay ahead of the competition, or worse, just keep up. Each new opportunity, whether embracing machine learning, IoT, or a cloud migration, seems to bring new development, deployment, and management models. The results are more diverse and federated computing models than any time in our history.
